Unlike some mobile services that rely on assistants alone, every clinical procedure at SMDS is performed or directly supervised by a licensed dentist or denturist bringing true clinical excellence to your community.
Comprehensive Oral Examinations
Full oral assessments including dental charting, periodontal evaluation, and oral cancer screening performed on-site by our dentist.
Preventive Cleanings & Scaling
Professional cleanings and scaling by our registered dental hygienist, preventing gum disease and maintaining oral health.
Denture Fabrication & Repairs
Complete and partial dentures designed and fitted by our licensed denturist including same-visit emergency repairs. We also have a 3D scanner for our dentures high-end technology that makes everything easier for our clients.
Portable Digital X-Rays
State-of-the-art portable X-ray equipment brought directly to the resident providing diagnostic imaging without transport to a clinic. We also have portable X-ray for diagnostics on-site, so residents do not need to go out at all.
Dental Treatment
Tooth-coloured fillings, extractions, and minor oral surgery performed by our dentist at your facility no outside referral needed.
Oral Health Education
Group presentations and one-on-one oral hygiene instruction for residents, families, and care staff building better daily oral care habits.
Our Expert Team
A Complete Dental Team, Right at Your Door
SMDS deploys a multidisciplinary team of 3 to 5 professionals to every visit, so each resident receives the full scope of dental care from licensed professionals, without leaving the building. Team composition varies based on the services scheduled; hygienist visits are included when cleanings and preventive care are part of the appointment.
Dentist (RCDSO Licensed)
Fillings, extractions (simple & surgical), comprehensive examinations, and all clinical procedures.
Registered Dental Hygienist (CDHO)
Professional cleanings, scaling, fluoride treatments, and oral hygiene education. Attends on hygiene-visit days.
Denturist (CDO Licensed)
On-site denture design, fabrication, relines, and emergency repairs.
Dental Assistant
Certified assistant supports all clinical procedures, instrument management, and infection control.
PSW (Personal Support Worker)
Transfers patients to the dental area, coordinates medications in advance, and minimises disruptions during visits.

SMDS bills most insurance plans directly, including the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) and most private and employer insurance plans. Patients are only invoiced for the remaining balance after insurance pays.

No Cancellation Fee for Unwell Patients
Residents' health can change unexpectedly. If a patient is unwell or unable to participate on the day of an appointment, no cancellation fee is charged no questions asked.
