About Senior Mobile Dental Services

Compassionate Dental Care, Delivered with Dignity

We believe every senior deserves access to quality dental care wherever they call home. Our mobile team brings professional, compassionate dentistry directly to the people who need it most.

Senior Mobile Dental Services was founded on a straightforward but deeply important idea: oral health should not be a privilege determined by mobility. Too many seniors in Ontario are living with preventable dental pain, tooth loss, and infection not because care isn't available, but because that care simply can't reach them. We built this service to close that gap.

Our Vision and Mission

Two clear commitments guide everything we do from how we schedule appointments to how we communicate with families and care teams.

Our Vision

A future where every senior in Ontario receives dental care with the same dignity and quality as any other patient regardless of where they live or how they get around.

We envision a province where frailty, cognitive changes, or a long-term care address are never barriers to oral health. We are building toward a system where mobile dental services are a standard, respected part of senior healthcare not an afterthought.

Our Mission

To deliver safe, professional, and person-centred dental care directly to seniors in retirement homes, long-term care facilities, and community settings across Eastern Ontario.

Our mission is to remove the barriers transportation, mobility, cognitive impairment, unfamiliar environments that prevent seniors from receiving the dental care they need. We do this through respectful, coordinated, on-site service that puts the senior's comfort first.

Our Core Values

These principles shape every visit, every conversation, and every decision we make as a team.

Dignity in Every Interaction

Every senior we serve has a lifetime of experience and deserves to be treated with genuine respect. We adapt our approach to the individual their pace, their preferences, their history and never rush comfort for the sake of efficiency.

Accessible, Equitable Care

We come to the senior. Mobility challenges, dementia, lack of transportation, or geographic isolation do not determine who receives care from us. We are committed to reaching the seniors who are most often left behind.

Clinical Excellence

Mobile does not mean less. Our team maintains the same standard of clinical care expected in any dental office thorough assessments, careful treatment planning, and clean, organized infection control protocols at every site.

Collaboration and Communication

Dental care for seniors rarely happens in isolation. We work closely with families, substitute decision-makers, nursing staff, and care coordinators. We keep everyone informed so treatment decisions are made with the full picture.

Continuity of Care

Seniors benefit from familiarity. We strive to maintain consistent care teams and scheduling patterns so residents and staff recognize us, trust us, and feel settled during appointments rather than meeting a stranger every visit.

Compassionate Professionalism

We are a healthcare team, not simply a service. We hold ourselves to the professional standards of regulated dental practice while bringing warmth, patience, and a calm presence that eases anxiety for seniors who may find dental care intimidating.

Oral Health Is a Part of Overall Health Especially for Seniors

Poor oral health in older adults is linked to serious systemic conditions including pneumonia, cardiovascular disease, and worsening diabetes. For seniors living in long-term care or with complex health needs, untreated dental pain can quietly erode quality of life, appetite, speech, and social connection.

Yet for many seniors, leaving a facility or their home to attend a dental office is simply not possible not safely, not comfortably, and often not regularly enough to make a difference.

We founded Senior Mobile Dental Services because this gap is unacceptable. Seniors in care deserve the same standard of preventive care and dental treatment as any other patient and they deserve to receive it without the burden of travel or the disorientation of unfamiliar environments.

Supporting Seniors Where They Are

We bring our fully equipped team directly to the places seniors live so care fits into their routine, not the other way around.

Long-Term Care Homes

We provide regular, scheduled on-site dental clinics for residents working in coordination with nursing and care staff to ensure safe, appropriate treatment for medically complex individuals.

Retirement Residences

For seniors living in retirement communities, we offer convenient, professional dental care on-site reducing the need for transportation arrangements and keeping appointments comfortable and familiar.

Community Residences

Group homes and supportive housing settings serving older adults or adults with complex needs can benefit from our flexible mobile service model, which adapts to a variety of environments.

Individual Home Visits

For seniors living independently at home who face significant barriers to traditional dental office visits, we offer direct home dental care providing a private, calm setting where they feel most at ease.

Supporting Families, Caregivers, and Facilities

We understand that dental care for a senior rarely involves just one person. Family members, substitute decision-makers, personal support workers, and facility care coordinators are all part of the picture and we treat them as important partners in care.

We make it a priority to communicate clearly, coordinate smoothly with facility teams, and ensure the right people are informed and involved at every stage.

  • Clear communication with families and substitute decision-makers about planned treatment, findings, and any concerns requiring follow-up.
  • Coordination with nursing and care staff before and after each visit including medication reviews, care notes, and any relevant medical histories.
  • Consent processes that respect the role of substitute decision-makers and comply with Ontario regulations and ethical standards.
  • Low disruption to facility routines we work around meal times, programming, and staffing to minimize impact on daily operations.
  • Ongoing reporting and documentation so facilities have accurate dental records and can integrate oral health into their residents' overall care plans.
"When someone cannot come to us, we go to them and we bring the same standard of care, the same respect, and the same attention we would offer anyone else. That is not a compromise. It is the whole point."
