BILLING & INSURANCE

How Billing Works

We handle the insurance so you don't have to.

πŸ₯

With Insurance

SMDS bills most insurance providers directly including CDCP, private insurance, and employer benefit plans. You only pay the remaining balance after insurance pays, not the full amount upfront.

Supported: CDCP, Sun Life, Manulife, Great-West Life, Blue Cross & most major providers.
πŸ“„

No Insurance

An invoice is issued after the treatment plan is approved. Payment is arranged directly with the family through a clear and manageable process.

🚫

No Cancellation Fee

If your family member is unwell or unable to participate on the day of the appointment, no cancellation fee is charged for residents of our contracted facilities.

Our commitment: transparent, compassionate billing always.

Consent forms can be signed and returned by email or fax. Our admin team will contact you in advance to arrange this.
We provide a post-visit summary to the family or POA outlining treatment performed, recommendations, and next steps.
Our PSW coordinates with the facility to arrange medications in advance, which keeps disruptions to a minimum and helps visits run safely.
