ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Identifying Unmet Dental Needs at No Cost to Your Facility

Many seniors in long-term care and retirement settings have dental health needs that go undetected for years. Our Free Oral Health Screening Program gives facilities a simple, low-burden way to understand the dental health status of their residents with no financial commitment required to get started.

A dental hygienist and dental assistant from SMDS visit your facility and conduct brief, non-invasive preliminary oral health screenings for interested residents. Each resident receives a short summary of findings, and your team receives an overview of any residents who may benefit from follow-up care.
